Yaaaassss, I am so excited for this new chapter!
So last week I got some exciting mail, I only went and passed my Lash Lift & Tint course with flying colours!
Since then I have had a couple of lovely ladies in the salon for their own lash transformations using The Lash Bomb and I am totally hooked!
Easily my new favourite treatment!
Lash bomb Lash Lift creates a natural looking lift and gives the illusion of length and volume. Making your eyes appear more open without having to spend hours in the salon having semi-permanent lashes applied. Lash Bomb is a quicker and impressive alternative to semi-permanent eyelashes and will enhance your own natural lashes, with little or no maintenance for weeks.

I trained using this brand, and as of last week have begun to use it on my clients and I am totally in love with the results, and I am chomping at the bit to do more and more!
So What Does a Lift & Tint Involve?

It involves a lot of relaxing for between 45 minutes to an hour... the treatment time varies depending on the individual client’s lashes and condition.
A patch test is required 48 hours prior to the treatment to make sure you are not allergic to the tint. But we'll kick the treatment off with a consultation to make sure you are suitable for a lift & tint and we'll also discuss the desired outcome; Some people want a subtle lift to flatter downward pointing lashes, others request an intense curl for maximum impact. The consultation is a really important step in the process as this is where your treatment is tailored specifically to you.
*(Some pre-existing conditions can affect results or mean you may not be suitable for a lash lift & tint)

We'll begin by prepping your eye area, removing any makeup and oils before applying a specially designed silicone pad to your upper lid, and your upper lashes will be then be lightly bonded to the pad using a soluble adhesive, this is when the Lash Bomb 3 step formula comes into play and the magic begins!
Firstly the lash lifting cream is applied which perms your lashes into their new lifted shape.
Secondly a neutralising solution is applied once the desired lift and curl has been achieved. After step two I'll apply a tint to give your lashes
lastly a moisturising and conditioning serum is applied which also breaks down the adhesive bond.
All three steps have a winning combination of ingredients including:
Cocoa Butter to moisturise and give your lashes a silky shine.
Biotin to strengthen the keratin bonds within the hair follicles, strengthening the lashes and enhances hair elasticity which enhances the lash lift.
Vitamin B3 to stimulate hair growth and has been included in the formula to aid lash growth and provide fuller lashes.
Panthenol which penetrates the cortex of the hair shaft within the lashes which can help repair damage caused by perming and colouring and is also known to slow down the hair ageing process which can be caused by repeated grooming.
Marshmallow Extract helps to detangle the lashes helping them to spread more evenly.
Aloe Vera to condition the lashes and skin which promotes smoothness and shine.
Theres also Rosemary, Camomile, Arnica Montana, Apricot Extracts thrown in there to have anti-inflammatory benefits and help soothe the skin.
And thats it, all done! before you know it an hour will have passed (give or take 5-10 minutes) and you'll open your eyes to a new enhanced but all natural look!
Aftercare
There are some important steps to follow in the first 24-48 hours post treatment for longevity of the lash bomb treatment results
Do not apply make-up or receive any other eye treatments for 24-48 hours after your treatment.
Avoid rubbing the eyes
Avoid putting contact lenses back in for 24-48 hours
Avoid swimming/sauna for 24-48 hours
Keep your lashes dry for 24-48 hours
Use a lash conditioner daily (I recommend castor oil or the convenient LashTox in a pen which you can get from me at the salon)
Comb the lashes upwards using the mascara wand
Sleep on your back for up to 2 days after treatment to prevent the lashes being squashed by the pillow.
If any stinging or swelling occurs, keep applying a cold dampened cotton pad, cold compress or cooling spray to soothe, if it persists seek medical advice and let me know so I can put it on your record card.
